Madeleine Stoneman, Taylah Harrison, Sarah Hawkins, Nikola Photinos, Alyxandria Photinos, Matthew Curtis, Daichi Yashiki, Kieren Bucher and Aden Messori.

Note Senior State Championships will be held at Chandler on 11th>13th May, check on Gym Queensland’s web site for more details, but well worth watching for our aspiring young athletes.

Welcome to our new members in Junior WAG, Nikkita Wright, Bianca Kempem, Indiah Linklater, Siobhan Gaffney and Stephanie Zeilinga. This group is developed to feed the State High Performance program or become our WAG comp team; it certainly requires stamina and dedication to training, well done girls!

Both our MAG and WAG Squads have commenced this years round of clinics at the High Performance Centre, it is an honour to be involved with State Gymnastics Development Programs and keeps our gymnasts and coaches up to speed!

Our first club comp for 2007 will be held on 17th June at Club Dynamite. This is a great experience for all our members (except kindergym) to go on show, and try that bit of formality in a familiar setting. All participants will receive a ribbon; entry fee will be $10.00 per gymnast and gold coin for the spectators. Sausage sizzle and drinks are available for purchase. Nomination forms will be distributed closer to the date.

There will be 2 sessions; 10am>12.30pm WAG and MAG levels and Trampoline

1pm > 4pm WAG Squad, Jnr WAG and Gymstart

We must offer a huge thank you to our Dynamite Action Group (DAG Committee) for all the fundraising and Easter raffle. I thought the Easter egg draw for all members was a great idea. The committee has raised over $1000.00 so far which will be used to contribute towards the equipment purchases and end of year presentation evening. Many thanks especially to Julie Skillern and all who have helped as well.

It was very exciting for us to at long last purchase new equipment and at the same time thanks to the Conway family, to be offered even more equipment from John Paul College who have closed their gymnastic program. This quarter we have installed new floor top, new parallel bars, new double mini trampoline, 2 pommels, and a mushroom and new rings. We have also got another set of uneven bars and single bars which are stored waiting to find a spot!

TIMETABLE CHANGES

Our gymfit teens class is running at capacity at present and we will introduce another class next block on Wed 6>7pm.

Acrobatics for fun will also commence on Tuesdays from 5>6pm. The class aims will initially be fitness and partner balances, participants need to be 7 years or older.

Cheerleading basics will start also on Tuesdays from 4>5pm. Participants need to be 7 years or older.

SOME HOUSE RULES

Parents please collect your children from inside the venue. This is an industrial estate and is not safe in the car park or footpath in the evening.

Also participants will be asked to remain in the waiting area until called to commence warm-up by their coach.

As the weather is getting a little cooler in the evenings, we ask that the children have shoes and clothing to put on before leaving the gym. Their bodies are warm from training and walking into the cold air can cause colds and flu’s.

Block 3 commences on Monday 21st May, please complete the attached booking forms so we can attend to the invoicing and new roll sheets. Invoices will be placed in labelled flip containers on the front counter for collection, invoices not collected will have an admin fee added and then posted.

Note we still have $5400 outstanding from Block 2, prompt payment is required to keep the business operational!

There is a small increase in fees, twenty cents per class.

Thank you all for choosing Club Dynamite for your children’s sport activity, our commitment is; “ to give every child that comes to Dynamite the opportunity for a better quality of life, by encouraging physical achievement and developing greater self esteem”.

Not every one is perfect all the time, so please if you see any areas where we can improve our service let us know, either by talking to Heather or Sandra or dropping a note in the suggestion box (letter box on top of the fridge).
