OCTOBER NEWS

Hello again everyone.  Wow! What an exciting block it has been for Club Dynamite, with all the gymnasts working hard in class and making great progress.  Block 4 saw the entire club invited to participate in our special father’s day club competition. This was an opportunity for our younger students to gain confidence performing in front of an audience and show off all their hard earned skills for their family and friends.  It was also a fantastic chance for our more senior gymnasts to have a relaxed comp in a friendly atmosphere.  The highlight of the day was the Father’s day challenge, which saw many of the Dad’s (and Mum’s) get the chance to be coached by their own kids.  The senior boy’s squad dads went all out on the day performing routines along side their sons (rumour has it they have been training for this). 

All our classes have been buzzing with excitement, our WAG Levels girls have been doing their levels testing and learning routines. Our competition squads have finished their major competitions for the year and are now working on their skill development, we are often hearing loud yells of excitement from the kids as they master those new gymnastics skills.  We have seen wonderful progress in all our kindergym and gymstart kids who just seem to be getting stronger and stronger.  Our senior trampolinists competed in the national club championships at the end of August against top athletes from all over Australia, they did us proud with some impressive placing’s.  Way to go guys!

Block 5 commences on 6^th October and is set to be our most exciting yet for 2008.  We will hold our annual display evening, which gives all our gymnasts the chance to show off their skills (and perhaps some of our coaches too).

Please remember to collect your Block 5 invoices from the boxes on the front counter.

SPECIAL EVENTS

BRING IT ON BRISBANE  FESTIVAL         16^TH November, Queen Street Mall

A Queensland gym event promoting the sport of gymnastics.

The day will involve performances, workshops and activities for all ages. 

Also including displays, circuit competitions and performances from a Danish Display Team , as well as our own “Dynamite Troupe”.

Club Dynamite has this block  put together a new performance troupe, involving many of our top gymnasts, trampolinists, cheerleaders and tumblers. They are working hard to perform in the prestigious “bring it on Brisbane festival” in November.  Top performing groups come together from throughout QLD to compete against each other for the chance to be QLD’s number 1 performance team.  Come along and cheer us to victory!

DISPLAY NIGHT                                             29^th November at the Club.

The highlight of our year.

Every year we teach each class of the club a group routine to be performed on Display night. The evening is a showcase of all the aspects of gymnastics and every child can participate. The performance runs as a show with every group demonstrating their routines one after the other, so there is something to watch continuously! Every section of the club from kindergym through to our squads and even some of the coaches will perform to entertain and please  the audience.

All gymnasts are invited to participate in this event.  In each class the coaches will put together a routine to show off the skills they have learned throughout 2008.  This always turns out to be a very entertaining evening, with great displays from everyone.

The space can be a bit cramped, but we have lots of fun and it is a fantastic way to see all the different components of our wonderful sport and the huge range of classes taught at your Club.

VACATION_CARE

The September school holidays have been exciting ones as we held our very first Vacation care program.  The kids have had an absolutely fantastic time with activities, excursions, arts and crafts, gym play and much, much more.  With most of the parents commenting that the kids are sleeping very well at night after all the busy activity.

We are now looking forward to the next school holidays, due to the great success of this program we plan to make it a permanent fixture for club dynamite.

Once again thank you for your continued support of our Club, as a team of coaches we are so lucky to be doing what we love and watching children learn and taste the excitement of achievement in every class we teach. Thank you for sharing your children with us!
