After an exciting day on Friday at the Ipswich Eisteddfod with our Mini Performance Team, on Saturday June 10th it was time for our Junior Team to head out to the Ipswich Civic Centre to contest the 12y ears and under Acrobatics division.
Our Junior Team consists of gymnastics from 8-12 years of age, with many of our team members experiencing their first year of performance gymnastics as well. The Team had an awesome time together buidling team bonds and making memories. We often have almost as fun back stage and in the dressing rooms as we do performing on stage!
Our Juniors performed 2 routines in the 12 years and under acro section. It was a very competitive division with performers from all over Souuth East Queendland showcasing their best acrobatics talent.
Our Team kicked off the division, with a bang as they hit the stage with their high energy "Mary Poppins" routine, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats with their fast paced tumbles and flips. We also had the honour of closing off the competition with our 2nd routine "Bui Doi" as our young students used their gymnastics and performance skills to tell the story of orphan children, from the Musical "Miss Saigon", showing just how powerful, moving and expressive Performance Gymnastics can be!
