On Sunday May 19th, we headed back to Moreton Bay College, for Day 2 of the Evolution Brisbane Competition.  This time for our Mini & Intermediate teams to enjoy their first competition for 2024.

They day began with a 7AM arrival time for our Mini Performance Team, this team of 6-8 years bounced in with so much excietement and energy.  They were absolutely outstanding on the day!  For this team of 6-8 year old Gymnasts a large portion were experiencing their first competition ever, but they rose to the occaision.  Winning 1st place in the 8 years and under Acrobatics groups section!

Our final group for the competition was our Intermediate Team, this team of 9-12 year olds performed 2 brand new routines, with a very high skill levels in the 12 years and under acrobatics section.  This was a tough section, but our gymnasts flipped and performed beautifully to be awarded 2 x special mention awards for their routines.

All 4 of our teams achieved scores in the 80's and 90's from all judges, qualifying all routines for the National Championships!

Our teams are now busy preparing for the 2nd competition for the year, the Ipswich Eisteddfod in June!
