Congratulations to all those gymnasts who performed in the Ipswich eisteddfod!  The competition is so large attracting performers from all over South east QLD that it is spread over 2 weekends.

Our Mini, Intermediate and Senior Performance Teams all competed weekened 1 - June 8th and 9th, at the Ipswich Civic Centre.

Starting on Saturday June 8th, with our Intermediate Performance Team taking to the stage for the 12 years and under Acrobatics groups secttion.  Our 9-12 year old Intermediate team kick started the weekend with a bang, showiung a very high standard of tumbling and skill.  Winning 2nd place in the 12 years and under division with their "Hinger games" routine and then also taking out the Very Highly Commended (4th place) award with their 2nd routine "Jealous of the Angels".

We were back early in the morning on Sunday June 9th, for our Mini Performance Team (6-8 years) to compete in the 8 years and under Novelty division.  The Minis had such wonderful positive energy, being so supportive to all the competing teams.  They were in a tough section, going against, not just other acro routines but a great variety of different styles.  But they absolutley blitzted it, winning 1st place in the division and earning some incredible praiuse from the judges.

We were back that night for our Senior Performance Team (13-17 year olds) to compete in the Open age groups.  As always the Open age groups are outstanding and very tough competition, but again, our teams were incredible, winning 1st place with their "Never Enough" routine and also winning the Very Highly Commended award for their "Lord of the rings" routine.  Our seniors got some amazing scores with 96 points and 94.5 points out of a possible 100 for their routines!

Well done to all our outstanding performers!

Our Mini, Intermediate and Senior Teams are now preparing for their next competition, the Future Stars Brisbane competition in July and we will be back at the Ipswich eisteddfod next weekend for our Junior Team to compete in the 10 years and under age division!
